I have been trying to make my aluminum rims shine like a mirrorBut my sandpaper (2000 grit) has done a great job at that but if I look closely enough, I can still see micro scratchesKinda like the swirls one would see on a paintjob of their car after a few washesWhat is the best item to use to get that perfect mirror3m polishing paper? 5000 grit sandpaper?Micron polishing paper?? Try pulling and stretching them someOtherwise you are going to have to wear them with boots.
Go to Harbor freight and get a hand held cut off driver ( if you have a compressor they have an air powered one cheap ) Get some buffing wheels and rouge The cotton wheels and rouge are the only way to polish aluminum to a chrome like finishOnce fully polished , maintain that shine with Semichrome metal polish
just wear them with boots and avoid that fabric blend
