Hello,I am researching international calls at the moment too. If you are searching I suggest you type. Watch the spelling! call Australia from Malaysia There are many companies out there and it is easy to get lost.I have found one so far that seems to cover most regions. I was looking to phone Saudia Arabia from Philippines. The amount it costs is in Australia Dollars
Hi. I'm using a Australian model of sony ericson k901i. i'm also using malaysian celcom sim card. it works wonders. to answer your question. i dont think they will be a problem on just purchasing sim card use it on your handphone. if you want to make sure, just ask the shop to try it on your handphone (make sure bought it at handphone dealer shop). so no need for you buy one (new hand phone). i also suggest you to buy Celcom simcard. due to its ability to use on rural areas. your travelling adventure might end up or travel to rural areas which some of the phone provider dont have an excess
Mobile phone shop are almost everywhere nowadays in Malaysia, and pretty cheap too. As for the sim cards, I personally recommend Digi. I got friends in Australia, i've tried all 3 network (Celcom and Maxis) and Digi is the cheapest.
Hey okorder
Yes you are able to purchase prepaid sim cards once you get to Malaysia. They are available at any phone shops or camera shops. Most of these prepaid sim cards come with a top-up value which you could call home or receive call after you have successfully registered your sim. The shops selling you the sim card will assist you with the registration.
