can anyone tell me websites for cellular / mobile phone companies in Taipei. I will be travelling to taipei next week will need a pre-paid GSM mobile phone connection
I think you can borrow the mobile phones at the airport. as for the prepaid card, it's a bit hard to find. I used to travel ard 4-5 mobile shops to get just a prepaid card too!
7-11 shops sell cards for it. cell phone shops are everywhere in Taibei.
When you fly in, there are several booths belonging to the different mobile phone companies. you can buy a prepaid SIM card from any of them. There's Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Taketa, Far EasTone and couple others. I picked up Far EasTone, and and you can get refill IF cards at any 7-11.
