BQ: Which director do you like more: Michael Bay or Steven Spielberg?BQ2: Are you excited about Transformers 3 or worried that it can be not good?thanks :)))) lt;3
I would say Transformers, only because of the modernity to it and special effects. Indy's good, but it's getting old and it hasn't really got the thrill and emotion of Transformers. Spielberg has done some good films though, Jaws, Close Encounters, War of The Worlds, E.T to name but a few, unfortunately, Indy isn't one of his better movies. As, he produced Transformers and Bay is a great director (you can actually believe that LaBeouf is Sam Whitwicky and that, it could possibly happen the way Bay directs it, plus he gets the emotion and anger.), I would have to say Transformers, though Spielberg is, still, my favourite director. I can't wait for Dark Of The Moon though, it looks to be good, though it will be hard to beat the second film in my opinion.
Indiana Jones. I think it is more adventurous and entertaining. I don't really know Michael Bay's work, but Steven Spielberg is a little to creepy in his films for me. Personally, I've never seen any of the Transformers.
Indiana Jones was not just a Steven Spielburg film it was a joint film with George Lucas. So he needs to be added to this if that is your question on those films! For me it would be Indiana Jones (just not the new one) For me movies are not what they use to be and Transformers great ok they made a BIG budget film for a cartoon man did they tear it up. But Jones for the win. The new one I dont think will be good its 3-D I am so sick of 3-D!
Steven Spielberg of course, you can't use him in the same breath as Michael Bay (well ok you can because hes one of the executive producers of the Transformers movies. But in general Spielberg has given us masterpieces like Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T, Raiders of the Lost Ark and serious and moving films like Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Amistad, Munich that have won him academy awards. Although he has gone downhill fast with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Michael Bay is good for throwaway, explosion fest movies. Spielberg was one of the pioneers of the Blockbuster movie along with George Lucas, so Spielberg still rules, without Spielberg there would be no Michael Bay. And I would have to go with Indiana Jones (except for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) but I'm not one of those who bashes Transformers either they deliver exactly what they are meant to and the CGI effects and sound effects are totally mind blowing, I wouldn't say I'm excited about Transformers 3, its the third not the first but it should be enjoyable none the less although I find Shia La Beouf annoying and what no Megan Fox!!
