Question:

My 1998 GMC Yukon is leaking water out of the tail pipe.?

Could this be a result of a bad water pump.

Answer:

This is absolutely normal. Water is a byproduct of the combustion of gasoline.
Possible head gasket or warped head. The water is getting out to the water jacket and into the top of the piston. Some water coming out of the exhuast is normal. It would not be a water pump.
Water is a normal byproduct of catalytic converter operation. If you are concerned about a possible coolant consumption issue, observe your exhaust for any signs of white smoke emitting. It's highly unlikely that coolant would be able to make it through your exhaust and to the end of the tailpipe, as exhaust temperatures run between the 500-900 degree range. If there are no signs of white smoke, then your vehicle is operating as it's supposed to.
a water pump would foul your plugs, you also would find bubbles in the radiator from the compression I have even smelled exhaust fumes in some cases there. additionally you would find the radiator very low very fast. its the condensation from the engine starting up and the cat not warmed up yet (cat is catalytic converter.) Relax
not water pump / lol its ok
