I got my braces today, and one of my brackets got loose! I'll drop by my dentist's clinic this afternoon to have it glued back on. I'm worried though cause this week is Holy Week, and pretty much my dentists wouldn't be around. What if my brackets come off again? What do I do then?Thanks!
Get to him and ask him why the bracket got loose and ask him what you should do if they got loose again. im sure he didnt put much glue on it or maybe you bite into something hard? Just stop by at the clinic and ask the doctor why your bracket got loose. i have my braces for a month now and nothing happened yet.
I have had braces twice for two years and that has happened a decent amount of times, the wire has been a bigger issue for me though! When you visit the dentist to get the bracket replaced ask him what you should do if another one would come lose. This way you will know what you need to do instead of trying to get a hold of him on Easter.
Call your dentist in the AM and take care of the loose bracket. Also have him check all the other brackets. If your brackets do come off and the orthodontist has no one on call because of the holiday go to the drugstore and buy the soft wax in the dental section so you don't tear up your mouth. If nothing is sticking out it isn't necessary. However, if your wires are loose because of the bracket it is your dentist's responsibility to have someone on call, unless he or she would prefer you cut the wires with cutters.
