Without eyeglasses he is a blind man, no doubt. Once he lost his eyeglass and then he started banging on doors and walls and ended up falling from stairs. He has difficulty taking shower because he has to remove eyeglass for that. He ended up falling in tub and badly injured himself after his face hit faucet. With eyeglass he also complains that vision is still poor. He has given up watching TV. He just get fired from job, because he kept stumbling on things repeatedly and boss thought he does drugs or drinks before coming to work. Boss said substance abuse has zero-tolerance and sacked brother. Computer screen causes brother to have blurred vision and that's why he had problem at work. I used to drive him to work and pick him up from work. We were not comfortable with the idea that he should drive car.

Yes this is normal for this to happen. Either with electric or gas heat. It will only last for a few minutes but the smell will linger for awhile, don't worry there is no chance of a fire. It will only do this on the initial start up of the furnace. It's all good
