my younger brother has a history of aggression. but now it has gotten worse. me and my family are worried and concerned. he is married and has a week old baby girl. last night he doused his and her clothes with oil?! also, he always threatens to kill her over petty arguments. but this is the final straw and he needs psychiatric help. he admitted to my mom this morning that he is afraid of his own actions. he has no health insurance, and mental help will obviously cost. any feedback will be appreciated.

i agree with doug, use a power strip and i agree with rick, the vent will not pose a problem in either case, there is not enough heat coming out to hurt an ext. cord or power strip
