and when i hit the brakes they pulisate in the brake pedal what wrong?
Everyone had great suggestions but I would also suggest a dr. bristol or french link bit. The double joint is slightly stronger than a snaffle but will eliminate the chance of the bit really hitting the roof of his mouth so much
Work on training him to be more flexible in the neck and softer in the mouth, if you don't you may just make him more hard mouthed, it is a training issue not a bit issue. Haflingers can be very stiff in the neck and not respond well. I rode one before possibly buying one and he bucked me off. He was the stiffest horse I've ever ridden. the owner said he'd never done any ground work with him at allno wonder he was so stubborn!
Not to sound insulting but the hose will have water left in after you turn the valve off , use a bucket and drain the house before you go tearing things apart. You really do not have to change the whole valve if that is the case, there is a rubber washer inside of the valve which may be worn or distorted from over tightening of the valve.Either way you have to drain the system I would tell you to attend one of the plumbing classes at Home depot to learn what to do they hold them all of the time .
idk if you are diong english or western but if you not showing ist doesnt matter. first i would trys eomthing litghter like a rubber snaffle if he is even worse benice to him and work with him and try a kimberwick broken or not you pick. but head strong horses are hard to work with i hate them. maybe try a bitless bridle and see if he is still head strong another way to get themt o lossen there mouth is to bring the head to one side then to the other stretch his neck alot one side to the other. make him keeph is head ot one side while wakling. and squize and jigsaw your reins with his movemens tis will help after awhile nto at first
