No matter what i try she insists on scratching the sofa! She has two scratching posts, one vertical and one horizontal each in one side of the apartment and she does use them, but she also scratches the sofa no matter how hard i try to keep her from doing it. I tried a repellent spray but it doesn't seem to effect her at all.She is nurtured by the way.

Get double sided tape for the edges of the sofa she scratches. Cats hate he feel of it on their paws. And get some better scratching choices for her - the cardboard scratch boxes they sell at pet store and Walmart and a sturdy piece of cat furniture with at least two levels, and one sisal wrapped post. The things they sell as scratching posts are generally to flimsy or small for a cat to get a good scratch and stretch, so they choose something else.
