You know that little ball on the bottom of your computer mose? yeah, well I I was bored so I took it out and stuck a litlle iddy biddy rubber band in it. Did I do something wrong? And if I did, can you explain to me what I did? Please and thankyou!!!
I doubt if the earth is getting bigger. The universe expanding idea comes from the Big Bang Theory. This theory states that the universe started from a catalysmic explosion and that initial force of expansion is still in effect.
Oh my God I feel so sorry for everyone who is fed the idea that the universe is expanding. It's not!!! cmbr, ie; the red shift, a shift in microwaves that slows over distance does not do so because of an expanding universe, it does so as the microwaves pass through galaxies, each of which contain a supermassive dual funnel black hole. During the time it takes to pass through one (the wave through the galaxy) the galaxy will have grown just a little bit (boson particles which format infinite space and carry microwaves as kinetic reactions break into small pieces), so when the wave comes out the other side it has to be moving slower.
well i won't say no, but that is not what is ment when scientists say the universe is getting bigger. it is not stretching, its expanding; the space in between the planets is getting bigger. think of a glass of water with floating lollies in it, if u poor everything into a bigger glass and add more water the space in between the lollies will expand. that is like teh universe, sure new planets and stars will be born, just like you could add more lollies to the glass, but that doesn't change the fact that they are all in a bigger glass. I hope you understand
Lenscrafters can make really good prescription safety glasses. They look like regular glasses, but still meet all the requirements for safety glasses.
No, things like the earth, the solar system, and the galaxy are held together by gravity. Think of it like penny resting on a rubber sheet that is expanding. The sheet expands but the penny doesn't because it would take a lot more force to make the penny expand. According to the latest findings about dark energy, the universe's expansion rate is accellerating exponentially. Eventually there might be a day when the expansion rate of space is so fast that the galaxy, the solar system, and finally even planets won't be able to hold themselves together. That won't be for billions of years, though
