My employer requires the employees to manually transfer garbage from one dumpster to another, so he doesnt have to pay for two garbage pickups. We are not given gloves or any other form of safety equipment. It is extremely unsanitary. Is he legally allowed to force us to do that?
There's the breeding fee (inseminating the mare), ultrasounds, various vaccines and checks that mares need during their pregnancy, possibly a daily fee if you send the mare away to be bred, booking fees, and all of this might need to be done multiple times because mares don't always catch on the first try. Then there's the foal. Just imagine taking on another horse and doubling your horse expenses and there you go. The mare needs to be health-screened prior to breeding (like if you have a QH mare, you'll want to have her HYPP/HERDA tested). The vet needs to ultrasound her BEFORE breeding to determine when is the best time to breed her. If the semen is shipped, the shipping costs are factored in. Honestly it all really varies depending on the owners' situations. I've only listed some of the basics. If you want numbers, it's going to cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to breed a mare. Also all of this is assuming these are QUALITY animals, not just Buddy the majikal blak Quarab stalliun and Delilah the sooper kewt buckskin Walkaloosa Fino mare.
