my engineered wood floor is popping up in the hall way, it seems to have expanded, how do i re-secure?
Make sure that there's nothing wrong with your house's beam and support columns. I'm going to guess that the floating floor is popping up from moisture since its a secluded piece. Try to look underneath of that spot in your crawl space or basement to check for water damage from moist pipes or hungry critters. I'm posting a link to different methods to try. Yours hold of course try to identify the cause to prevent it from happening again. Maybe a dehumidifier in that room could be a good idea. Moisture levels should be below 60% (30-50%) to avoid moisture damage
This might not be the problem, but since you haven't given us much detail, that's all I got.
Can t be answered with out knowing how it was installed. Plus , is it the finish layer popping up or delaminating or is the whole section of the floor coming up? Engineered can be installed 3 ways.. Floating, glued or stapled down. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
