Question:

My family doesn't care about fire safety?

At least once a week one of them leaves something sitting on the burner that shouldn't be there. Our house is in danger of burning down because of all the **** they leave on the stove! My mom burned oven mitts, my dad melted the butter, and my sister left an empty pan on it with full heat! I don't see how they could be so blind and careless. They tell me to stop being a spaz when I tell them how careless they are. I don't want to loose all my stuff. How do I get them to stop being so blind to the danger?

Answer:

Did you coordinate with your supervisor? Communication will your employer runs both ways. Did you get your medical leave in writing from your employer? Did your boss just okay your absence, without coordinating it with the human resources dept? Was your doctor's excuse for the dates you were absent, or several days later when you realized you needed it. This isn't high school when you can turn in a piece of paper excusing your absence. Work with your employer to see if you both can compromise. If the company spent time/money training you, they may be more inclined to continue your employment. It's times like this it pays to be a good employee and meet the company standards. Good luck
Totally normal, I usually go through phases after a bad nightmare where I'm worse with it. What will keep you going to bed at a decent time? Will a night light help? Keeping the door open? A white noise machine may help because it wont be so quiet, or make a playlist of calming music you like. TV and phone before bed usually make it harder to fall asleep. Maybe there are some rituals you can do. I usually shut the closet doors, turn my alarm on, ect. Just things that I'm used to doing now that make it easier to go to bed. Keep a routine going. Also, try not to go to bed when you're still wanting to play on the phone and TV. Wait until you're ready to really sleep, that way the bed doesn't become a place to chat and you're mentally prepared to sleep when you get in bed. Oh, and try not to listen to/watch anything that may have bad vibes or be negative (a scary show, sad music, violent video game, ect) because it'll put you in a bad mindset. Hope all this helps. Like I said, don't worry. Everyone goes through that phase, most people go through it lots of times. Remember there is nothing to fear, and sleep tight!
