Question:

my motorcycle was driven in an iron range. The rims have?

my motorcycle was driven in an iron range. Old iron mines. The rims have an orange stain. The frame and engine have some orange residue as well. Any ideas to carefully remove this orange stain without damaging the finish off the bike?

Answer:

I leave my truck parked at an iron ore dock for 2 months at a time and I use Formula 409 to take off the residue. You will have to re-wax it after you are done. A good product for your aluminum parts is called the BOM. I use the BOM on my Goldwing wheels to take away any oxidation.
