My 7 week old puppy (saint bernad) was with me sitting on the couch and my oldder dog(shih tzu) and when the older dog jump he jump and I didn't have time to catch him and his head landed first and he started crying and even dog my shih tzu isn't very fond of him, he started checking on the puppy to see if he was ok. He cried for about 20 seconds and then stoped and walk away, but I'm worry, could any damage be done? How to make sure? And what can I do?
He just shocked himself by falling and was probably just scared. Probably no damage was done.
Pup should never had been on the couch. All should be fine, pups are pretty tough.
The first thing you need to know is what kind of training you and your dog need. After that locate some good trainers that will take you and your dog, not just the dog.
Don't ever put a 7 week old dog on the sofa without having TOTAL concentration on him. You can do severe damage to a young pup that jumps from that height and with a loose jointed huge dog like a St.Bernard even more. The last thing you want is this dog getting onto a sofa with the size he is going to be I would of thought so best not to allow it now. Take him to the vets.
