we got a tripod, then we got four small bars one of iron, one copper, one brass and one alluminum.then we put gelatin on them and then stuck pins to the ends of the bars, we then heated the bars and waited to record the time of the pins falling off the bars.
I don't know the name but what the activity is doing is measuring the heat conductivity of the various metals. It may also pertain to the specific heat of each metal.
