Hey, I have a 04 stingray 19ft boat and it just started to click when i would turn boat on. I have to turn it on and off like 30 times to start it. I have taken the battery out and charged it fully. once it starts its fine and runs, then when i turn it off and turn it back on, it clicks once when i turn it on. after about 30 times it starts why.
Troubleshooting: Start by disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting the cables from battery to solenoid to starter. Also, the battery (-) cable connection to engine block. By clean I mean make 'em shine (hint: sandpaper). By reconnect I mean tight-tight-tight -- if you use wingnuts on the battery, use pliers on 'em. Take the battery and have it load tested -- most car parts stores do 'em free. Measure the voltage at the starter positive terminal with the keyswitch turned to start. If you get 12v or more, rebuild or replace starter. Otherwise, measure the voltage at the solenoid small input terminal. If you get 12v or more, replace the solenoid. Bad voltage at the solenoid, troubleshoot the wiring harness and keyswitch.
Jtexes gave you great advice but, one other thing I might add make sure that the connection between the solenoid and the starter motor is Clean and tight its usually a flat copper bar coming out of the starter motor to the bottom of the solenoid
