My Worrcester Bosch 280combi boiler's pilot light has gone out an wont relight no heating an no hot water Why?

Answer:

if you can get it to light hold down for 15 sec, and let go of the pilot button, if it goes out when you let off the button, it is the copper wire that you have to replace first, shut the gas off at the valve their, light the pilot get the gas out of the line, probaly a couple of hex screws that are a flat head or filips, the nut on the gas valve has to come off to like a 3/8 or 7/16, unit comes out probaly another hex screw holding on the thermocoupler on the pilot lite end, be a little tuffer to get off probally bit rusty, trip to local hard ware, menards low home depot, probaly all have them. Replace and turn on gas relite. might take a min or blow out your flame.
If the pilot does not light you might not have a spark there to light it, or there could be a blockage in the pilot injector, if the pilot lights but goes out when you leve go of the button after 15 sec could be the thermocoulping,? If it does not light call a gas safe enger
open the flap and hold in the reset button for a few seconds and then release, make sure the boiler is on demand ie heating and water on and then it should fire up ok.failing that, make sure the water pressure is ok(look at dial)it should be set at around 1.5 bar.if its too low the boiler will not ignite, open the filler loop slowly and top it up. by the way there is no pilot light as it is automatic electronic ignition.
are you sure you are following the how to lite instructions.if you continue to have a problem.call the gas company.be safe.
