Measure, measure, measure.Lay them out without sticking them down so you can see where the problems will be.They are kept apart evenly by plastic spacers.I have laid out the entire kitchen dry just to see where the problems will be. You need a tile cutter(rotary blade diamond saw type for granite) That is not money one puts out on tools for a 30 sq ft floor.. Find a tile layer and have him take a look at the floor and give you an estimate on the cost to do the work. You can ask him right off whether the old tile has to come off or not ?This is a job you can do. Tilesetters work by speed. There is a lot of steps. And it involves cement which only has so much time to be played with before it is gone hard. I watched them do it. and it is something I leave to them. They will tell you how to take out the old tile if it has to go. It is a specialized trade. It is nothing one YouTube video is going to explain everything in.. Normally the floor first gets a cement float(which is very watery concrete which levels the floor 100%) No experiencebasically no chance of making a good job. In order to fix it, one has to break the old tiles out with a hammer(itty-bitty pieces) so it is something you do not want to do 2wce.
Apart from using a brush Put a pair of rubber gloves on wet them and just using your hands wipe the carpet all pet hairs and fluff will stick to your gloves Depends how big an area it is to clean ?
use a hard brush?? you could just sweep the floor
