At my previous job my supervisor brought a mexican dish for potluck. I think it was boiled catfish refrigerated and then she had chopped onions and some type of green leafy stuff in there and she squeezed lime juice on top. It was sooo delicious. Does anyone know what this dish is called and where I can get the recipe?
sounds like you might still have a broken piece in there, that would cause infection and swelling. Normally stepping on a citrus thorn just causes some pain when stepped on and some soreness after ward for a while. Not normally pain and swelling, if it is hot to the touch then infection has set in. You need to see a Dr.
Although limes are used extensively and have many benefits providing vitamin C etc and antioxidants lime seeds if consumed in large quantities can be poisonous and indeed fatal. So,if you have an infection due to standing on a lime thorn the chances are that it is nothing, but nevertheless if it were to remain or become worse you should get medical advice from a doctor.
