Which of these are manual handling mobility aids?a) Walking beltb) Hoistsc) Slide sheetsd) Rope ladderse) Bed triangles I thought it could just be Hoists and Rope ladders, but I don't really know. Would appreciate any help. :)
The walking belt is used to help a client/patient to move around from chair to bed etc. The hoist is used to move a client/patient from bed to chair, toilet or bath etc, There is a few different types of hoists The slide sheets, which is used to slid a client or patient up the bed The rope ladder is used for the client/ patient to pull themselves into a sitting postilion The bed triangles over hands the bed and is used by the client/patient to pull themselves up in bed As the rope ladder bed triangle is primarily used by the client/patient, requiring little assistance form nursing care staff. The hoist, slide sheet and walking belt requires assistance from nursing care staff I have added a few links which has the different types of mobility aides available and how they are used, hope they help.
