NEO with the Symbiote suit (venoms suit) VS. SUPERMAN?
Hi What you have is an intake air leak, and it is bypassing the airflow meter and causing the problems you are having. Very best regards Geordie
~ Very important questions are: Was he ever a stud? Is he fixed? Well that answers that. He thinks you are his *****. He is being protective and dominate over you, since you are his. It has nothing to do with love or that you are better, it is him calming you as his. His mate. This can get very dangerous, he can become very difficult and will try to insert himself between you and your husband. You need to start being the trainer (you need to show the dog, you are not his). Don't let the dog sleep with you, or don't hold him when he misbehaves around your husband. Don't baby him. Put him down if he is getting dominate. Put him in a time out if he barks or growls. Don't give him anything that allows him any dominance. It is best to keep him off the furniture, until this habit is broken. Give him attention when he is behaving how you would expect him to behave. It may help to get a can of pennies and shake it every time he growls are your husband to distract him. Once you do that and have his attention, then tell him no firmly. Get him fixed.
Are you sure it is angry growling? My dog growls at me, but it is just how she talks to me, there is no anger in it at all. Is your dogs tail wagging and stuff when he does it? If he was abused by a male he may be wary of your husband for a bit until he realizes he won't hurt him.
Sounds like he has had a bad experience with a man before. It will be up to your husband to earn his trust. First turn over all care of the pup to husband. Well the pleasant aspects anyway, first feeding time and walks. You keep the unpleasant task like brushing, teeth brushing, and nail clipping. Have your husband always speak in low, calm tones around the pup, and spend time sitting on the floor lower to pups level trying to engage him in play with toys. Have your husband start obedience classes with the pup, it will be the best way to foster a trusting two-way relationship between them. You, in the meantime, do not encourage any behavior that puts you between the pup and your husband. If you pup jump in your lap, then growls at your husbands approach, or ever tries to guard you from him, immeaditely put him back on the floor. Let him know that such behavior will not be tolerated from him at the get go, or you will end up with an aggressive dog and a husband who sleeps on the couch! Good Luck!
He may have had some trouble with males prior to you getting him.. Have your husband do more with him, like walk him, feed him, give him treats, play with him, etc. don't let the dog get overly attached to you alone as this may increase the growling etc.
