New Aluminum Macbook Question?

I am going to be a college student in about a year and am looking for an incredible computer that will last me for quite some timeThe question is not what computer to get (as I have already decided on the unibody aluminum Macbook), rather it is what specs to get on itIs it better to get the 2.0GHz MB with and upgraded 250GB HD and 4GB RAM or the 2.4GHz MB with the standard 250GB HD and 2GB RAM? (they are nearly identical in price - about $1600)More simply, is it better to have more RAM or a faster processor?Or is it worth it to take the fall and get the 2.4GHz MB with 4GB RAM and a 250GB HD for $200 more? or even the one with 320GB for an additional $100? (total of about $1900)(And completely unrelated, what are your thoughts on the Acer Inspire One netbooks?)I'm looking forward to hearing all of your opinions.

Answer:

The computer you need will be for school workYou won't even come close to using all that 2GB of RAMYou also will not have a problem with disk spaceInstead of spending extra money on RAM or a larger hard driveSpend extra money on an external hard drive that will be dedicated to maintaining your backupsLeopard comes with an excellent backup application called Time MachineTake care of your MacbookLook how many people leave questions here about spilling drinks on their keyboardsEat drink, or computerNever bothUnless you damage your Macbook, it will remain useful for 5-6 yearsLonger than that if you resist the urge to upgrade the OS every time Apple comes out with a new version.
