Anyone have a better headline for the Herald Tomorrow?
cameras in basic training is contraband and they are NOT allowed, although many soldiers sneak them in through packages they get sent from family, and through purchases they make at the PX on their Pass. Sometimes after family day, the last night you ever have in basic training soldiers get their cell phones back, are technically arent supposed to use them, but still do so they use the camera phones sometimes. If you read the sign posted on the door of every army barracks it will tell you the policy in big bold letters. If you are caught with contraband it is grounds for punishment under the uniform code of military justice (UCMJ) and usually grounds for an article 15 I saw it happen to many idiots in my basic training class that thought they could get away with having a cellphone *update* I was at Fort Leonardwood as a Combat Engineer which is the only combat MOS on that post. Its a lot harder and more strict than the other MOS's that are training on post so maybe the non-com soldiers get phones and cameras on weekends or something im not sure
Even though they are hard-wired, there should still be a battery of some sort as a back-up. This needs to be replaced.
