Question:

No 6 pin power cable in PSU for graphics card?

Im not very good with computers but I wanna buy Radeon hd 6850 graphic card, I have a 500 watt psu but I heard I need a 6 pin cable which my psu doesnt have. Can I use a 6 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Cable Adapter?

Answer:

Maybe. Some smaller PSUs don't have the right power rails (the way power is distributed to the wires) to do that for a power hungry card. Maybe, but I doubt it, considering the other stuff it must run. Bigger supplies have the correct wire harness for your card.
you will decide on a case that ought to take the longer card. a PCI-E x16 slot (and a sparkling slot decrease than it) a PCI-E 6pin power connector a PSU that has atleast 500watt's power. in case you like help looking a PSU which will artwork and characteristic the desirable connectors positioned up a value that your keen to pay for a sparkling PSU.
maybe okorder /... for your vga card and your 500 watt psu is certainly strong enough to support the graphics card. ~hope it help~
