2007 chevy EQUINOX 23000k miles.Sometimes when driving for a long time the air-conditioner start out fine and then some type of vapor starts coming out from the ventsAfter that the air slowly starts to get not so coldI shut unit off wait 5-10 minutes and turn back on and everything works ( cold ) again.for a while then the same thing starts all over againBUT THE NO MORE VAPORAt night the air is very nice and coldSo I'm really lost hereThis problem does not happen all the timeONLY WHEN IS VERY HOT AND Iquot;M GOING FASTcould this be the thermostat sticking? the car has enough freon and coolant in itcan you help??? I cant figure it out//////////
sounds like the expansion valve located behind the dash in the heater core it is an aluminum box shaped object where the two heater core lines bolt to the heater core should come out when you unbolt it and when you go back with a new one make sure you use new o rings and make sure to discharge the ac system first
