couple of ways, but it depends upon your old rival still being functional. one: buy a micro sd memory card, the rival has a spot for you to put one in so you can store pics, videos and music on it. it's under the battery door and off to the side. 2: go to a verizon store and request that they transfer the pics for you using their cellebrite machine. some stores charge for it so you might want to ask first. 3: get a data transfer cable (a usb cable that hooks up to your phone and connects to the computer), believe you need the motorola phone tools for this to work. option 1 and 2 are the easiest and best way to do it. Check out Radioshack or Walmart on prices for Micro SD cards, try not to go above 4 gb. some of the Rivals had issues with recognizing memory cards larger than 4gb
