Does the UK have nuclear missile silos like the USA or would it only launch its missiles from nuclear submarines ??
No just submarines. (Trident Programme).
from what i know as the first guy said submarine nucs :) maybe low level ones in the air force..But truly we may have nuclear warheads? only the goverment and british special air service will know this one
They now only have submarine launched nuclear weapons.
The UK never had nuclear missile silos. First the UK used bombers to drop nuclear bombs, then the US gave the Polaris nuclear submarine-launched missiles. After that the Trident system took over which is basically Polaris but with a different name. That is when nuclear bombers retired and was entirely replaced by ballistic missile submarine launched missiles. I hope this helps!
