We just had our boiler looked at and it was determined that we needed a new aquastat. We had that replaced and it worked for about a week. Well now the boiler once again shuts off before the house gets any heat. any idea what could be the issue?
USA Unfortunately, that is like asking Why doesn't my car start? There are a hundred reasons. The aquastat maintains the temperature of the water only in the boiler, not the temp of the house. It acts the same as a thermostat in a water heater - it keeps the water hot in the water heater. If the boiler is heating up, but the house is not getting warm, for some reason the circulation system is not working. Have the system checked to make sure the circulator pumps, or zone valves, or both, are working properly from the thermostats.
