AC Repair person said I have oil leaking from fan motor and should have replaced. Even though it still works. Show me how hot it got.
Sounds fishy to me. Ha. They are supposed to get hot and there's hardly any oil in a blower motor so you wouldn't see any leaks. A tech can test the amps and the volts. He can spin the fan to see if it spins freely. Listen if the bearings grind when it runs. Test the shaft for play. If he does all that, then he can say if it needs to be replaced. So, I doubt you need one.
leaking bearings on motors are a sing of imminent failure, find out the warranty on the unit or motor and have it replaced.
it incredibly is the crankshaft rear oil seal. as a fashion to change this, it incredibly is engine or transmission out, Flywheel off, and on occasion, the sump and rear considerable bearing cap off aswell. no longer a 5 minute job. you'll want extreme lifting kit, and a heat workshop.
