20 mph one ball joint has a cracked rubber boot with a little grease it is on the lower control arm or the bottom a frame as i call it it is on a 2008 ford ranger on the driver side i barely touchd the rubber boot and a piece of the rubber crumbled off

In my experience they usually happen in the day, during the beginning of the semester. I've only had one time where it happened at 6am and that was only because a couple of drunk all-nighters lit their room on fire. If it happens in the middle of the night, then chances are, it's not a drill and someone was acting like a retard. You'll know when there's an alarm because it will start blaring. Don't worry about it.
No. It's dangerous, the smoke detectors will go off, the food won't be cooked properly, the oven will probably burn up the heating element as it won't be able to reach the temperature set for it and somebody could get burned by splatering from what you're cooking. The glass in the door is so you can observe what you're heating.
