ok im 17 and had really bad chest pains for like 2 years and the dr told me last year my valve was leaking and the pains have been getting worse what should i do?
Minor valve leaks are common - I'm 6'1 and I've got one and I lead a perfectly normal life. The chest pains are probably unrelated as a valve leak doesn't hurt, and a heart attack has additional symptoms which you haven't mentioned. It's probably working out too hard, atrophy, growing pains, or bad Mexican food. YES, see a doctor, always, but it's probably nothing. I get chest pains too (along with pains in other parts of my body - especially when my ex is around), and it's nothing.
Your doctor should have referred you to an heart specialist. Don't be asking kids here, ask the doctor!
hcd2.bupa .uk/fact_sheets/html/heart_valve_disease.html#6 You'll probably have to go into surgery eventually. I would suggest seeing all the doctors you possibly can, now, before it gets worse. Try reading through the website above and see if that doesn't help you a bit.
Skip the primary care physician and go straight to a cardiologist who will do a heart sonogram and run other test and therefore will be able to deal with your issues at hand. I have Mitral Valve Prolapse and I only knew this through a heart sonogram.
You need to get referred to a specialist that will preform heart surgery to fix your problem
