ok on my inspiron 15 obviously the battery died ive looked around the net and this is typical for a dell inspiron 15 batter and i only had it for 6 months anyways now its a desktop basically and the power cord is very easy to become disconnected i tried warping a piece of metal to fit around however it proved very difficult.i thought of aluminum and i was able to very easily fit it around the metal of the power cord my concern is that it could be dangerous for my computer but i don't see any danger anyone have any suggestions i tried plugging it in un plugged for the wall outlet and it fits nice and snug any suggestion would be really help full

But in any case, if it's not touching any power pins, and you don't see any possibility of it touching them in the future, it should be fineBut I'd feel better about it if you used something non-conducting like duct tape or packing tape But some photos, before and after, would help.
