Question:

Ok. Silver nor copper are ferous metals, yet when I waive an n52 neodymium close to them as in , I can feel?

AS I was saying, I can feel a slight pull, sometimes a slight drag, sometimes it almost as if like poles are facing. nothing very significant, but caught me off guard.

Answer:

Yes they are not ferrous metals, but they are conductors of electricity. When the magnet is moving, there is an electrical current induced in the conducting metal, which generates a magnetic field, which interacts with the magnet. The faster the movement, the greater the effect. If you hang the magnet from a thread, and the metal from another thread nearby, they will eventually settle, showing there is no attraction once there is no relative movement.
