Question:

OK to use a copper pipe in a car cooling system?

Replacing a ABS plastic pipe in a cooling system (automobile),would it be OK to use copper? This pipe requires a couple ofsmall inlets other than the main in/out on the ends, and copperoffers the most choices (Home Depot scenario). Just want tobe sure i will not run into issues w/ corrosion. Will use coolant distilled.

Answer:

Copper tubing will work just fine.
Several things can cause this !!! 1. The refrigerate level could be low and yes this can cause this to happen. 2. You could have the ac / heater door not closing completely. 3. You could have a restriction in the evaporator itself.
what about a fan or repairing what is wrong with it cold air intake wouldnt have anything to do with over heating
better thean plastic . its ok to use
your car is not well - it was designed to handle sitting in traffic without overheating.
