It might be old. Since I assume you've got the resin in it's original container I would see what you can find out on the internet about that particular brand. You could look up how long it keeps for a start. You could also make sure that the hardener belongs to the resin, and you could also see whether they have a customer support helpline you could phone. But it is quite possible that it is too old.
It's not really a teak, they're the whole mainframe for your computer, to keep it functioning, without one, it wont work.
