looikng to get a large hall way and medium kitchen floor done been quoted 1100 with fitting for a good quality laminate tile effect would actual tiles be much more or maybe even less due to the undlay needed with a laminate?
If you compare the laminate in tile, tile is more expensive because of its durable but it always depend which section are already installed by laminate flooring and how many sq for ceramic tile installation.

Actual tile will be more expensive, you can save money because tile is a total do it yourself project. As long as you dont have any crazy angles to figure out and cut you can do it yourself, just take your time. If your not handy it will cost more, but you will increase the value of your house so you should come out ahead when you sell the house.
Actual tile will cost less ( than that of a good laminate) but the tile labor is double ( +-) that of laminate installation.Plus the prep materials needed for ceramic is triple ( or more ) than just the plain under layment of laminate.
