I got my back braces a few weeks ago, and I woke up this morning and something in my mouth didn't feel right. Something felt loose and wiggly. As I was eating breakfast, I continued to feel it. I looked in the mirror and one of my brackets in the way back was loosened. It's still on the wire though, and it's covered in food since I'm still eating my breakfast. This is the first time this has happened to me, so I'm really freaked out. It's Sunday and my orthodontist is closed. What do I do????? And how do I clean it??
i never had braces but from what i heard just dont panic take a dentist appointment as soon as possible and if it broke its okay just keep it the way it is

It's completely normal. My brackets glue off all the time. Nothing to worry about, really. I went to my dentist yesterday, and she glued back on two of my brackets. They were on teeth that aren't really crocked or anything, and she said it won't slow down the process. About the cleaning, just wash it as you wash your other brackets. If it's completely glued of and you can move it, also wash under it, just to be sure nothing happens to your teeth. It probably won't fall of the wire, cause it still has the rubber on it. Mine never fell of. Even if it does just put it in something so you don't lose it, like a small jewelery box or something, and take it with you when you go to your dentist. I never went to the dentist really immediately, and I haven't had any problems for now. Just relax and don't worry! :D
