i have a 01 sierra 4.3 litre but the engine went. Found a 4.8 to put in; wondering how much i can expect to pay at a shop to do the work. My dad will likely do whatever prep work needs to be done because hes done many swaps before, we just no longer have a hoist to get it out . Live in hamilton ontario but just looking for a ballpark.
Let me suggest that you buy a hoist off of Craigs list and resell it when you finish the swap. That's what I did.
