okay, which is better, or does it even matter. right now i have a synergy II shaft with a synthesis blade, and i love it. its super super light, perfect curve for me, which is discontinued (,or would a one piece be better, AND WHY? tell me why, its pointless to have half of you say 2 piece is better for replacement and money reasons, and the other half say one piece is better for other reasons.
Two peice because if your blade or shaft breaks they can be replaced and the unbroken part for your next stick. But a OPS is it breaks you have to buy a new one. So two peice all the way
i have both and both are great, the ops feels light and really solid, so does my two piece. the trick about a two piece is that it is not the glue that holds the blade in there. the glue is just like a lubricant to help it get in there. if you put it in and it wiggles add some tape to it and it should make it fit really tight. its a little harder to get out if it breaks but its worth it to make sure it doesnt wiggle around on you. if your breaking sticks by the blade it doesnt matter. you can get a OPS and cut it were it tapers, you might have to add an extention on it, but it will keep the flex where it orignally was, or you can just flip it upside down and put a standard blade in there, it works really well, it just flips the flex too, some like it some dont, but if there is a good deal on a OPS id get it, i just got the bauer one90 n love it, if it breaks ill do what i just said.
Well, I would say a OPS because I have a problem with the fact that the blade starts to wiggle on my two piece stick after the glue breaks down a little bit. This could be a problem that has been fixed since I last bought a two piece stick, but I feel like the one piece feels more solid and provides me with a more accurate feel to my shots. As a side note, I've had this same problem with the curves I used being discontinued in the past. I've been thrilled with the fact that Nike/Bauer has now created a way to design your own stick based upon several more patterns then were previously available including some discontinued versions. Check out their iD system if you are interested in creating your own stick with a specific type of lie and curvature in whatever color you want albiet a one piece stick. I just bought a Supreme one90 and couldn't be happier.
