Recently, I was going through a Blick art catalog and I saw this project page about Metal EncausticsI'd like to give it a shot, but the wax based paint that they have listed is a little pricey for meI've worked with embossing aluminum foil before, so I guess it'll be okI might just have to be a little more careful because the foil isn't as thick or heavy-duty as the metal sheets that are meant for it but my real question is What sort of paints can I use on my foil art? Would nail polish be ok? I want sort of a transparent feel with the colors themselves. Thanks for any help ]
Your better off testing paints for yourself then to ask otherspainting on embossed aluminum foil isn't exactly a steady well known and practiced art.
