What sorts of questions and answers drive you nuts?
Do basically what everyone else has said but to insure that there is no more water in the pipe before you attempt to solder use a couple pieces of good ol' cheap-a** white bread. Roll the middle part of one slice into a couple of small balls(not too compact) then stuff them into either pipe. It will hold back the water for long enough for the weld to hold then will dissolve when the water is turned back on. If you use wheat or multigrain bread all the bread will dissolve but the grains will restrict or stop water flow at faucet screens. Plumber's bread, old trick. I hope this helped! Good luck!
