Can someone please describe key light, fill light, and back light.and its not homework.
In brief.... A key light is the brightest light you're using, probably a strobe or a hot light. A fill light reduces shadows, usually a lower intensity than the key light (powered down, farther away, through a screen) A back-light can either be used to light up the background and reduce the shadows caused by your key and fill lights, or it can be used to show smoke or water or something that usually gets lost in shooting.
