How is it possible that if you fill a plastic bottle with water and you place the bottle into an aluminium can, that the water seems to come through the bottle and leaves you with a lot of water in the can?
Chemical stripping, mechanical abrading with care, soda or dry ice blasting (never sand or other types of media - too hot.) The acetic acid in vinegar is a mild etching solution at best, it will not strip paint.
if you do a google search for aircraft paint stripper you will find a lot more info on this stripper designed to remove paint from aluminumthere are several manufactures and some feature more environmentally friendly productsbed liner coatings have been used in floors of alumboats in the pastif this is the look you want then it should not be a problemcoatings usually come in either a smooth or rough finish when you work with chemical strippers be sure to follow all safety instructions including wearing chemical resistant glovesi had good results by placing my boat over a big poly( blue or gray) tarp to catch the old paint residuethis makes clean up easieryou can also use plastic scrapers to help remove the stripped paint (to prevent scratching your alumhull) hope this helps

if you seal the aluminum can I think its condensationyou have water that is cold inside a can with air that has water vapor in itthis air is say 80 deg F or about 25 to 30 degs C that holds alot of waterbut then when you put the bottle of cold water inside the can the air cools down now it cant hold the water and the water RAINS just like it does in the atmosphereHope that can explain the magic of water moving through the plastic bottle I am pretty sure the bottle is still full of water
