I want to buy some speakers for my home theater system. I have subwoofers, but i do not have speakers. I looked online and i could not find anywhere where you could buy a set of speakers. So ive decided to just buy some car speakers. Im not looking for bass speakers but it wont hurt.I found two different speakers that i liked for around 80 a pair.Kicker DS963 6 x 9 3 way speakersPioneer TS X200 Mount 3 way speakersI was thinking about buying tweeters but i dont know much about them.Which would be better for surround sound, if there are better ones or cheaper ones, tell me.
How will you be powering these in your house? Please be aware that the vast majority of car audio speakers at rated at 4 ohm, whereas, home theater speakers are rated at 8 ohm. Make sure your home amplifier/tuner is capable of pushing 4 ohm speakers. To be honest, it's a toss up between the two. That's Kicker's lower end stuff. It's still quality, but I'd say about equal with the Pioneer. Step up to the Kicker RS series. You'll be happy you did.
