Question:
pirates of the caribbean: at world's end........hanging boy's song?
what are the lyrics to the song he sung? i've tried looking them up, but no place has them. i know part of it (i think).....heave ho, all together, hoist the colors high, yo ho, thief and beggar, never shall we die.please tell me if you know anything else!
Answer:
If you go back through PG13 or under films you'll find many examples of similar instances. I don't think POTC:AWE did anything wrong. The scene wasn't graphic at all, and it contributed to moving the plot along (no details for those who've not seen the film). I also don't see how this compromises you as a Christian. People were hanged in history, some of these were children. Conservative Christian groups attack films all the time for various reasons (Witchcraft in Harry Potter, Magic in other films, etc), some of which are silly reasons to scrutinize. That being said, I'm a Christian myself. I also think some groups go overboard over trivial things in media.
Here you go :] HOIST THE COLORS Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die. The king and his men stole the queen from her bed and bound her in her Bones. The seas be ours and by the powers where we will we’ll roam. Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die. Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea – with the keys to the cage… and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler’s Green! The bell has been raised from it’s watery grave… Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone? We are a call to all, pay head the squall and turn your sail toward home! Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors high… Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die.
Pirates Of The Caribbean Lyrics
The song is called Hoist the Colours by Walt Disney Records. Here are the lyrics to the song. Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die. The king and his men stole the queen from her bed and bound her in her Bones. The seas be ours and by the powers where we will well roam. Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never say we die. Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea – with the keys to the cage... and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green! The bell has been raised from it's watery grave... Do you hear it's sepulchral tone? We are a call to all, pay head the squall and turn your sail toward home! Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never say we die.
