I just bought some plastic wrap from Costco and it has a minor odor. I don't recall other brands of plastic wrap having an odor from the ones I previously bought.Is this normal? There isnt an expiry date or anything on the box.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most plastics off gas after production. Costco has large packages of just about everything. When you have a larger amount of a plastic product you will get more smell from the off gassing as well. This is why you would notice the smell on a larger roll of plastic wrap and not on a smaller roll. This would be normal and nothing to worry about. If the odor really bothers you I would leave the package open for a few days and this may help the smell to dissipate.
