I really would like to know what kind of procedures a plastic surgeon would perform. Preferably from a real plastic surgeon, because I am really interested in the area, and I have the stomach for it, so could you explain the salary, procedures, patience, tools, ( I know that sounds weird), schooling, and hours( like when do you get home, are there any emergencies? Oh and do any of the procedures have a high fatality rate?
There are many procedures that plastic surgeons perform. Here is a short list: face lift, brow lift, breast left, tummy tuck, rhinoplasty (nose beautification), chin and cheek augmentation, neck lift, liposuction, dermabrasion, just to name a few. Some concentrate on cosmetic surgery, while others specialize in operations that repair people after tragic accidents or birth defects. Plastic surgeons usually make a great deal of money, but so much of it depends on what state you live in and the area of your expertise. You must go to medical school and you should get a degree and be an accredited plastic surgeon. Like any doctor, the hours are not 9 am - 5 pm, and you are on-call for your patients 24/7. Yes, sometimes there are complications and emergencies, and any operation or procedure has the chance of fatality, although rare, it does happen.
