Question:

Plastic Tank Radiator Repair?

I have a 2005 Chevy Impala that has an aluminum core w/ plastic tanks on each sideA leak has appeared somewhere about 6-8 inches below the fill spout that I cannot visually seeIt must be a small one considering there is a small pool of anti- freeze on the ground below the radiatorI used some of the stop leak stuff and it appeared to stop the flow however I don't know if it actually plugged it up at this point until I drive the car moreI have used the stop leak on the metal tank radiators years ago and it did work for as long as I had the car however I have had no experience with these newer combination, plastic/ metal radiatorsI do know the cost of a new radiator is about 250.00 and that does not include the cost of install of which I understand can be quite expensiveDoes anyone have any ideas- should I try additional stop leak if the leak persists-please adviseThank You
